PRAYER IN TIMES OF COVID19 PANDEMIC – by Fred Vergara (Author's Note: The COVID19 as designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) stands for "Corona Virus Disease 2019." This pandemic began in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and spread like wildfire in Asia, Middle East, Europe, the Americas and all over the world. Business establishments, sports complexes, churches, temples, synagogues and all institutional buildings except hospitals, governments and essential factories were closed in order to mitigate person to person infections. Governments imposed social distancing, lock downs, halt air travels and recommended frequent hand washing, wearing of masks and globes and all other precautions to stop the spread of the virus. Millions have been infected and hundreds of thousands have died. This prayer is set in the context of the United States, the country with the most number of people affected.
